Stream Now · Effective: April 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Stream Now ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
Stream Now operates as a local-first application. Stream profiles (names, RTSP URLs, RTMP URLs, stream keys) are stored exclusively on your device via Hive. We do not transmit, collect, or sync this data to any server controlled by us.
When you tap Go Live, the app opens an outbound connection from your device to the RTSP source you configured and to the RTMP destination you chose (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, or any custom server). Those third parties have their own privacy policies which govern the handling of the media stream once it leaves your device.
The current release does not integrate any analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDK. If we add one in the future, this policy will be updated and the change announced in the app.
The app requests the following permissions on Android:
• INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — to establish the RTMP publish connection and detect network changes for auto-reconnect.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — to display a persistent notification while a stream is live, required on Android 13 and above.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE & WAKE_LOCK — to keep the streaming process running reliably when the screen is off.
No camera, microphone, or location permissions are requested by Stream Now
itself — your RTSP source handles media capture on its own hardware.
Stream Now is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
